BZ is pleased to announce the appointment of Wietse Sinjou as Associate, Origination, Structuring and Analysis. With eight years of experience in asset valuations, financial modelling, and asset-based lending, Wietse enhances BZ’s analytical capabilities as the firm continues to deliver bespoke private credit solutions to mid-market businesses.
At BZ, he will work closely with the Origination team, focusing on structuring and underwriting asset based and cash flow transactions. Before joining BZ, Wietse gained significant experience at Gordon Brothers across a range of transaction types. Originally from the Netherlands, he relocated to the UK in 2007 and is a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CIMA) with a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Surrey.
BZ provides structured facilities of up to £200 million to support acquisitions, growth capital, and special situations across a broad range of sectors and jurisdictions. Since partnering with Davidson Kempner Capital Management, BZ has delivered £5.4 billion in cumulative advances and underwritten £1.0 billion in new transactions. The firm combines asset-based working capital facilities with term and cash flow tranches to offer flexible, tailored private capital solutions that meet clients’ strategic objectives.
Commenting on his appointment, Wietse Sinjou said: “I’m really pleased to join BZ. The ability to offer comprehensive financing solutions that include both cash flow and asset-based tranches in complex transactions including a cross-border element is compelling and differentiates BZ from other debt providers. I was equally drawn to the collaborative team culture where I can contribute to the structuring of innovative financing solutions.”
Hayden Macmillan, Head of Structuring at BZ, added: “We’re delighted to welcome Wietse to the team. His expertise in asset analysis and financial modelling strengthens our origination and structuring capabilities. Wietse’s analytical approach will be invaluable as we continue to assess large and often highly complex financing opportunities for our clients across multiple jurisdictions.”
